Brittany NaCole from the Columbus and Chicago areas will put you in the mind of an earlier E. Badu, not necessarily in the voice, but her flow, writing, and style. My favs are 'The Jigg Iz Up', 'Strung Out' and 'The Shore', which is a slower tempo, but not your normal love song. The drums on that chorus are whoa. The music is solid and she's able to utilize her vocals perfectly with the beats. Check it out, it's good music.

K.Dot debuts an untitled new track alongside a band featuring Thundercat and Bilal on the last show of "The Colbert Report".
Teri Tobin has released her newest album, Truth Is, and like her critically acclaimed debut album, Love Infinity (2011), this album promises yet another superb collection of 14 original soulful, melodic, jazzy, mid-tempo songs inspired by love. Truth Is depicts love in various ways, whether it be the heartbreak of losing a love in "Wish You Were Here", written and produced by David "NuDae" Edmonds (Kevon Edmonds), to finding love in "Love Happens", co-written and produced by Shawn Hibbler (Kindred the Family Soul, Darius Rucker, Mike Phillips) which says "...love happens when you least expect...and you'll never ever see it coming..." or as in love for yourself in "#Shine", co-written and produced by Dominic White.
Over the weekend in Atlanta, author/dentist/tv personality Dr. Heavenly and the Dr. Heavenly Kimes Foundation hosted its quarterly “Heavenly’s Angels” seminar, a mentoring session that educates young women on health, relationships, finance and self-esteem. Led by Dr. Heavenly along with fellow “Married to Medicine” cast members Dr. Jackie Walters, Lisa Nicole Cloud, Dr. Simone Whitmore, Toya Bush-Harris and newcomer Jill Conners, the theme of the discussion was “You Can Have It All!” Attendees enjoyed a series of presentations on contraception and sexual health, education, conflict resolution, and dealing with infidelity. Additionally, Dr. Heavenly’s daughter Alaura Kimes gave a short speech on kindness.

‘Whole Damn Year’ is a piano-driven track full of emotional scars, that is indicative of the classic love hurt songs that Mary has brought to us previously. Check it out!
Hailing from the swamps of Chicago, guitarist and songwriter B Forrest’s palette of audible paint contains the colours blues, folk, love, and soul. His debut album entitled “Back to Bodhi” (due out October 2014), was a seed turned tree at the end of last year.
Click 'Continue Reading' below to check out the video for the acoustic version of his single 'Grown Child' featuring Sam Trump whose voice is perfect for the relatable lyrics of moving forward and appreciating life while dealing with adversity.
When Georgia Anne Muldrow surveys the musical landscape, she's left wanting more. It's not easy for us to watch the likes of Nicki Minaj dress up like a kaleidoscopic crack dealer and promote a dead end lifestyle.
It is truly a shame that August can’t just magically have two more weekends so there can be one last HEROUSA Water Sports Weekend this year.
On Saturday, August 23, 2014, HEROUSA with help from Wakeopolis, Forest and the Evergreens, Cuco’s Taqueria and Seventh Son Brewery, created a perfect setting for the quintessential remedy to an “I don’t want to go back to school” Ohio late summer day. Offering kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddle boarding, wakeboarding, fishing and good old fashioned swimming, there was opportunity for folks of any and all ages to be active and stay cool while playing in the sun.
The Legendary singer, songwriter and musician passed away on June 27th, 2014. An active recording artist since the 1960's, Bobby Womack released his last album, the award-winning 'The Bravest Man in the Universe', in 2012.
Raphael Saadiq who was greatly influenced by Mr. Womack released a song dedicated to him and had this to say:
Bobby Womack is one of my musical soul International known Heroes, Never had to chance to work with him, or even talk to him, But I did get a chance to shake his hand and say hello, although he didn't know when I spoke to him, if felt like I knew him for a very long time, my parents would always play Bobby Womack Records in the house, and I continued to listen to them, So, much love to Bobby Womack and his Family, Here's Toast to Bobby, a song I finish last night after I heard the news, Gonna Miss You…
Have Beautiful Transition,
